Re: Any GR Yaris PnP owners lost hill hold?

Yes I need such a clutch. The engine smoked the stock clutch in no time and no one I know has tried the uniclutch, plus I had to ditch the OE damped flywheel. The ATS twin plate and solid flywheel set up I have is well proven and robust and launches well without deteriorating. Anyway back to my ques...

Any GR Yaris PnP owners lost hill hold?

I run a pretty well modified Yaris with big turbo/ethanol/sequential etc. While not something I’m losing sleep over, but do other Yaris users still have a functioning hill hold assist feature? Mine does not work. Useful with my steel twin plate on the street but handbrake is also good!

Re: Sequential Paddle Downshift Blip (no clutch)

Thank you Pavlo, much appreciated. Look forward to the examples. One thing that has drastically improved things is your recommendation of blip dog prep using ign cut. Some pretty large numbers in lower gears. Much nicer predictable downshifts now.

Re: Bmw E92 m3 s65 throttle problem

It will shut down the h bridge output if the tps margins are exceeded. Try temporarily allowing a large margin and enable TPS with engine not running, and see if you can get the throttle motors to work. With ITBs and separate throttle motors on that engine, there could be some wiring related issues ...

Re: Sequential Paddle Downshift Blip (no clutch)

Yes 4 blot into a plastic manifold with thread inserts. Could fashion an adapter plate but little room to do so.

Re: Sequential Paddle Downshift Blip (no clutch)

Indeed, there’s a Bosch 54mm available but the custom manifold needed is a quite a bit of cash. On the to do list.

Re: Sequential Paddle Downshift Blip (no clutch)

Blades 49mm

Syvecs base map caped at 75, I added 5%. Don’t want to burn it out. Anyway, not seeing much tpsDTR improvement anyway by pushing boundary of duty limits so blade is going as fast as its capable at 80%

Re: Sequential Paddle Downshift Blip (no clutch)

So the finding is the DbW on the GR yaris simply can not respond fast enough above a certain DbW blipTarget from closed throttle. I can get my sequential box downshifts nice and smooth with no clutch up to around 3000 rpm, which demands about 35% tps depending on gear. above 3000 it gets harsh as sh...

Re: Sequential Paddle Downshift Blip (no clutch)

One thing I realised through testing is roll on rate has almost no effect, right from 0.01% to 100%.

Blip targetMult has a massive impact on how fast the blip comes in and has a large impact on smoothness of downshift.

Continuing the testing…..
